Robert Plant is amazing… Always …

My sit down with Robert Plant

“Nothing is daunting for me but forever challenging,” says Robert Plant. “I have to be able to just get out there into the great drift of music and possibility, and hang onto great themes and ideas”.

When Robert Plant collected the 2009 Grammy for Album of the Year for Raising Sand, and five more for his work with singer Alison Krauss, it confirmed what has been apparent –  that Plant is among the musicians of his generation whose appetite for musical innovation remains keen.

What an exceptional interview you had with Mr. Robert Plant, something the listener and fan like myself could really sink into deep. I really dig the ‘Band of Joy’ ; as much as I’m a Zeppelin fan and Led Zeppelin days I do love to read about, I love to hear in his interview the 360 in his life and going back to his music roots and hearing them now with Robert Plant having the long time expertise in the industry and the peace away from the insane years in the primal heart of his Rock n Roll days.

It’s a great way for a legend artist to enter into his more retirement era as he specified this will be where he stays and really is quite the twist of fate the name is ‘Band of Joy’, truly what Robert Plant has given his fans decade after decade from Led Zeppelin, to his solo artist days and now with new timeless classics as ‘Angel Dance’ will no doubt be referred. I fell in love with this song the moment it hit my ears with that special feel touching my soul that so much of his music has done from days gone by to the minutes continuing to tick away seeking my own path of change and growth.

I never have had the pleasure to enjoy Robert Plant in concert in the past, I’m hoping this will also be my 360 of concert going and see the legend who was the first artist and group to turn me into a Classic and New Age Rocker Chic I am today.

Cheers to you Mr. Jeff Woods
